The Festival takes place from Monday 9th – Sunday 15th  of September and never fails to showcase some incredible fashion. Our judges have a keen eye for style, and will mingle with the crowd Sunday Afternoon at the Oyster Gala to find the Best Dressed of the day. Don your dresses and dickie-bows and step out in style this September, for the glamorous Clarenbridge Oyster Festival. Last year’s best dressed lady was sponsored by Galway Now and the title went to Audrey Craughwell (pictured ). The 2018 prize was a fantastic two nights B&B and one evening meal at Lough Eske Castle Hotel and Spa; Beauty hamper from L’Occitane, and hair styling consultation with Stephanie Higgins from the award winning Sarah Mason
hair salon.

Gents, were not forgotten either and John Kissane, Native of Galway, now residing in Wales, won the Best Dressed Gent and a €200 voucher sponsored by Wolf and West Menswear in Oranmore. Aside from the incredible fashion and entertainment, the Clarenbridge Oyster Festival is a true celebration of the native Oyster. The Festival marks the beginning of the new Oyster season, respecting the tradition of generations of expertise in harvesting oysters from the surrounding shallow seas. Protected in the bay from the Atlantic, the oysters in Clarenbridge flourish in the perfect mixture of fresh and seawater. Perfect conditions combined with a wealth of skill and knowledge from the community, mean that the taste of the Clarenbridge Oyster is unrivalled. Dress up and dance the night away, but most of all savour the famous Clarenbridge Oyster at this year’s Festival.
